Dear Collective,
For this month’s Tarot Reading for the Collective I am using Le Grande Circus & Sideshow Tarot by Joe Lee. This vibrant deck was a gift from a dear friend, and really it was quite amazing that they managed to buy me a tarot deck that I didn’t already have!
This month’s questions are:
What will help us strengthen our friendships?
How should we approach our collective future?
How can we better face our fears?
What do we need to consider as we look at our relationship with community?
Let’s begin!
1. What will help us strengthen our friendships?
Queen of Swords
Being clear with your communication helps – get to the point, be honest! Don’t wrap your words in cotton wool, our friendships should be safe enough to hold deep feelings without the preamble. Understand, though, that being honest is not an excuse to say something mean, it’s simply the opportunity to express what you are feeling right now in regards to a specific situation. Be real! And be true.
2. How should we approach our collective future?
The Fool
Ideally we face it with the willingness to give it a good go, even if there is every chance that we may fall flat. And of course, that chance is always there. But if we try ignoring the ways of the fearmongers and those who control the global finances, leaping into the unknown may not be as scary as it seems. Will it work or will it not? Will humanity prevail or do we tumble towards a dystopian future? The scales may seem uncomfortably balanced with a possible swing towards widespread destruction of the environment, and ultimately, us. Even a swing away from the more negative outcome may not be positive enough. But perhaps more people are looking at the bigger picture, with the wish to trust that there are plenty of reasons to take a leap towards positivity and inclusivity, rather than throw it all away and lose our dreams forever.
3. How can we better face our fears?
The Moon
Rebuild your strength and tenacity by stretching your mindset beyond your previous limitations. Resolve to be daring as you face murky outdated thought patterns. Reach out for more support and encouragement when necessary. To face your fears, go deep with your emotions (if you have safe space to do so), and spend time in quiet, natural environments. There is always more to see, more to discover about ourselves and about how we can keep moving beyond what previously held us back.
4. What do we need to consider as we look at our relationship with community?
Knight of Cups
If you see someone struggling with the current state of things, and if you are in a position to do so, lend a helping hand. Listen to others with a very open heart. This takes a certain courage, so if you are up for it, do it! Show how it’s done, and if you do it with true compassion, you may well inspire others with your openness of heart. The wheel will keep turning and the work will keep being done, whether you are around to oversee it or not.
Opinions need not apply here. Just bring your heart, take a chance, and share. Some will get it, some will not, but certainly you will feel better for being free.
