Dear Collective,
This month I am using the Pentimento Tarot by Joanna Powell Colbert. This is a beautiful Major Arcana Art Deck, multilayered and deep. Joanna also created the Gaian Tarot, and her latest offering is Herbcrafter’s Tarot, which she made with Latisha Guthrie.
The questions for September are:
What do we need to wilfully burn?
What do we need to peacefully hold?
What do we need to boldly share?
What do we need to defiantly lay to rest?
Let’s begin!
1. What do we need to wilfully burn?
The Moon
Burn the illusions and delusions, the desires that drag you away from your authenticity. Don’t get lost in dreaminess about what once happened or what might happen. Burn the habit patterns that keep your apathy entrenched. Remember to connect beyond the fantasy.
2. What do we need to peacefully hold?
The High Priestess
Hold onto the strength of your intuition no matter how strange and quiet it feels at times. Reach out to people who easily understand your unique way of moving through the world. Hold ideas that have magic in them. Mix in the ingredients that those ideas need to live.
3. What do we need to boldly share?
Strength
Boldly share what must be spoken and what must be enacted in order to maintain integrity at all times. Know the price to pay for silence and inaction and strive to never succumb to that. Share what is painful so that you feel less alone, and so that others can lean in closer, remembering their own stories, to heal what was left unattended.
4. What do we need to defiantly lay to rest?
Wheel of Fortune
Lay to rest the notion that we are going to get to some sort of final destination and remain there. We are not acquiring utopia. The wheel will turn. We are moving and adjusting, learning and acting, letting go and integrating. We are staying awake and ready to dismantle lies. Defiantly lay to rest the indolent retirement we were promised and keep on growing so that any members of our community who have been denied dignity and sovereignty can access what is theirs.
